We understand AI has a cost to our planet. It consumes significant energy, accelerates certain kinds of job displacement, and is being deployed faster than most governance structures can keep up with. We are not going to pretend otherwise.
Viravesso was built with that in mind. We are not here to push AI adoption for its own sake. Where it genuinely makes the work better, we say so. Where it does not, we say that too. That shapes the tools we recommend, the workflows we publish, and the advice we give.
The most useful thing we can do is stop waste before it starts. Most of what a small team spends on AI goes on tools nobody needed, outputs nobody checked, and workflows that were never going to hold in the first place. Our guidance is built to cut all three.
Viravesso exists to help people navigate AI with confidence. That includes being clear about what it costs.
A word from our founder
I'm not neutral about this. I think AI is genuinely useful, and I think a lot of what's being done with it is careless. Both being true is why Viravesso exists. If I only believed the first, I'd be selling you tools. If I only believed the second, I'd be telling you to wait.
You're probably not neutral either. Most people I speak to feel like they need to pick a stand on AI: either love it or hate it. Truth is, the noise around AI is deafening, the information is all over the place, and the tools arrived faster than anyone's habits for using them. Nobody got a quiet week to work out what they actually thought.
So I keep coming back to one question. Not whether AI is impressive, but whether the people using it end up more capable, or just more replaceable. Everything here has to pass that test.
