Connect Claude or ChatGPT to ViraOps

Last updated 4 November 2026

What the connector does

The connector lets your Claude or ChatGPT read each client’s chip before it writes. The first draft starts in the client’s voice, inside the AI rules they agreed.

The whole team works from the same chips, whoever asks. The connector only reads and saves ViraOps data, and it never makes images, video or audio.

What you need

  • A ViraOps account with an active trial or membership. Each person signs in with their own.

  • Claude on any plan, or ChatGPT on Business, Enterprise or Edu.

  • On ChatGPT Plus or Free, connectors cannot be added. Use the ViraOps kit instead, from Connect your AI in ViraOps.

Connect Claude

The address is https://mcp.viravesso.io/mcp

  1. In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors, and click Add custom connector.

  2. Call it ViraOps and paste the address.

  3. Click Connect, sign in with your ViraOps account and say yes on the page that opens.

Each person on the team connects their own Claude once.

Connect ChatGPT

  1. Ask whoever runs your ChatGPT workspace to add ViraOps as a connector, with the address above.

  2. Click Connect, sign in with your ViraOps account and say yes on the page that opens.

What your AI can do

Seven actions. Four only read. The other three change data, so Claude and ChatGPT ask you before they use them.

  • List clients: your agency’s clients and when each chip is due for review.

  • Get a client’s chip: who they are, how they sound, the words to use and avoid, approved claims and AI rules.

  • Get the steps for a job: a monthly report, a pitch, copy, an image brief, a video storyboard, campaign ideas or a new client.

  • Get the agency file: your agency’s profile, AI policy and tool map.

  • Save a client’s chip: creates a chip or changes its fields, after you agree.

  • Add what you learned: adds a dated note to a chip at the end of a job, after you say yes.

  • Save the agency file: changes your agency’s profile, AI policy or tool map. Admins only.

Who can change the AI rules

The account owner names up to three admins on the chip page. Only admins change a client’s AI rules, delete a chip or change the agency file.

No AI can change an AI rule once it is set, even when asked. An admin’s AI can fill in rules that are still empty, and nobody else’s AI can touch them.

What data passes, and where it is kept

  • Your AI sends only what each action needs: a client’s name, the fields to save or a note.

  • Chips and the agency file are kept by Viravesso in the EU, in a separate store for each agency. Other agencies never see them.

  • We never use them to train AI, or for anything else.

  • What you type into Claude or ChatGPT stays with them, under your plan’s terms.

  • Chips are kept for 12 months after your trial or last paid period ends, or deleted sooner if you ask.

The full details are in the privacy policy.

Disconnect

  • In ViraOps: open Connect your AI from your home page and click Disconnect next to the app.

  • In Claude or ChatGPT: remove ViraOps from your connectors.

  • If your trial or membership ends, every connection pauses within an hour. Your chips are kept.

If something goes wrong

  • Your AI says the connector is paused. Your trial or membership is not active: check it in your account, under Plan.

  • Sign-in says there is no Viravesso account. You signed in with another email: use the one your team invited.

  • Your AI says it cannot change the AI rules. Only admins can: ask one, or change them on the client’s chip page if you are one.

  • Your AI cannot find a client. Ask “Which clients do we have in ViraOps?” to see the exact names.

  • Your AI does not use ViraOps. Check the connector is switched on in that chat, and name the client in your request.

  • Your sign-in has expired. Remove ViraOps from your connectors and connect it again.

  • ChatGPT has no option to add a connector. Plus and Free do not allow it: use the ViraOps kit.
