Fender wants its stories in AI search

Fender makes guitars, bass guitars and amplifiers. On 5 October 2026, it announced a redesigned website that combines its shop with stories about musicians and instrument makers. Visitors can explore the people behind the guitars as well as the products. In an interview published by marketing publication Digiday on 15 October, Fender discussed its ambition to improve discovery during AI-assisted product research.

Someone researching a first electric guitar might ask an AI assistant which model suits them. The assistant may use information from several websites to answer. Fender wants its own expertise and stories to be among that material. This is separate from Ask Fender, the chatbot on Fender’s website. The reviewed reports provide no measured results showing that the redesign increased mentions in AI answers or sales.

Why it matters here

For an agency, the useful question is what a client knows that a buyer cannot find on the website. For example, a furniture maker may hear, “Can I repair this chair instead of replacing it?” A useful page could explain available repairs with photographs and a contact for help. The client supplies the facts; your team makes the answer clear and checks it before approval.

Use this week to plan one improvement to an existing client page. You do not need a new campaign or a website rebuild. Start with one buyer’s question. Aim for a clear answer using checked information, and treat AI visibility as something to measure rather than promise.

Do this by Friday

Spend 30 minutes preparing one page improvement. Finish with a buyer’s question, the material needed to answer it, and a person responsible for approval.

01

Choose one question a buyer asks before purchasing.

Use a question from a client email or sales conversation. Find the page where a buyer would expect the answer.

02

Collect a checked answer and one supporting example.

Ask the client for the facts and a useful photograph, demonstration or project example. Get permission to use the material.

03

Write a short page update for client approval.

State the question, answer and example. Name who checks the facts before publication. Have a draft ready for review by Friday.

Act as an agency content editor. Use [one buyer question] and [client-approved facts] to draft a short answer for a client’s website. Suggest one supporting example, mark missing facts and list what the client must check before publication; do not invent evidence or promise AI search results.

Replace [one buyer question] with a question from the client’s sales team and [client-approved facts] with their checked answer and examples.

Expect a draft answer, a supporting example and a list of facts for the client to check.

If the answer is vague, ask the tool to name the missing facts and remove claims without evidence. Check its answer before using it.
